We met at the University of Central Arkansas in 2020. Lexi was walking around UCA's gym with her friends and found Marcus playing ping pong. Lexi, who has never met a stranger, starts making conversation. Little did they know that this interaction would lead to so much more. It was not love at first sight, but Lexi and Marcus stayed friends for about 3 years before wanting to start dating. Marcus felt a calling from the Lord to serve in San Francisco in 2023. During that time, Lexi and Marcus kept in touch realizing that there was more than just a friendship. When Marcus returned from San Francisco they decided to start dating. Marcus asked Lexi to be his girlfriend in her apartment parking lot, so romantic. Ever since, we have been with each other through a lot of new things: finishing undergrad, first teaching job, physical therapy school, and serving the Lord together. After two years of dating, Marcus took Lexi on a scavenger hunt to all the places they love. Marcus knelt on one knee and asked Lexi to be his wife in front of the beautiful UCA fountain. We are so excited to start this new chapter of us and we are thankful to have amazing, positive, and encouraging people surrounding us.
